Nearthlab Appoints Key Executive to Drive Expansion in Enterprise and Global Defense Sectors

March 19, 2025 - Nearthlab, a leading AI-powered drone solutions provider, has appointed Andrew D. Kim as its new Executive Vice President to drive its enterprise and global defense business expansion.
Kim brings a wealth of leadership experience in business development from major global corporations, including Boeing, Motorola, and LG Electronics. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and completed his graduate studies at Stanford University, where he further deepened his expertise at the intersection of technology and business. Most recently, he served as CEO of MOCA SYSTEM, a subsidiary of Suprema specializing in biometric security, where he led innovations in mobile and cloud-based physical security solutions.
In his new role, Kim will focus on strengthening Nearthlab’s core businesses in defense, security, and industrial inspection, while expanding AI-powered drone applications into new enterprise markets. With an emphasis on global partnerships, particularly in the U.S. and Southeast Asia, Nearthlab aims to establish new business models across both the defense and enterprise sectors.
Nearthlab continues to differentiate itself with cutting-edge AI technologies, including autonomous flight, swarm control, and unmanned operations, offering fully integrated hardware-software AI drone solutions. The company has already established itself as a leader in industrial safety inspections, and under Kim’s leadership, it plans to accelerate global market penetration.
